As Prudent Media reports, Germany became the first team to arrive in Goa ahead of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup starting off in five days time.
Germany is placed in Group C along with Costa Rica, Iran and Guinea. They will play their first match of the FIFA U-17 World Cup on October 7 against Costa Rica at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda at 5pm. Their second match is against Iran on October 10 at the same venue, but the European powerhouse will have to travel to Kochi for their final group game against Guinea on October 13.
The Germany U-17 squad will be based at Arossim in South Goa.
