VIDEO: Wolves captain Danny Batth documentary on YUWA visit in India – ‘Married to the Game’!

As the local media in the English Midlands report, the documentary ‘Married to the Game’ about Wolves captain Danny Batth visiting YUWA and their football project for girls premiered this week in Wolverhampton.

The documentary ‘Married to the Game’ follows Wolverhampton Wanderers captain of Indian origin Danny Batth as he last year visited the YUWA program for impoverished young girls in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Batth’s real life partner Natalie Ann Cutler made, directed, produced and edited the film, which highlights how football and education helps the girls to stay away from forced child marriage and human trafficking.

Wolves team mates Ryan Bennett, Will Norris and Harry Burgoyne also attended Wednesday, May 2 night’s premiere at the Ramada Park Hall in Wolverhampton, as well as Batth’s former team mate Richard Stearman.

There was a Champagne reception for the 150 guests and then a Q&A with Batth and Cutler after the documentary, which was very well received by the crowd present.
