Willian Pacho to join Eintracht Frankfurt!

Eintracht Frankfurt are driving forward their plans for next season by strengthening the squad with the signing of Willian Pacho. The Ecuadorian moves from Belgian top-flight side Royal Antwerp FC and has agreed a contract until summer 2028.

Pacho started his career at Independiente del Valle, making 40 competitive appearances for the Ecuadorian first division side and helping the club win their first ever league title in 2021. He also made 11 outings in the Copa Libertadores, South America’s elite club competition.

After enjoying two successful years in his homeland, in January 2022 Pacho moved to Antwerp – Eintracht’s UEFA Europa League group stage opponents in 2021/22. He has so far played 42 games for the Belgian team, most of which over the full 90 minutes.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche said, “It’s an important transfer for us for the coming season. Willian is still young but he already has experience on the international stage. His speed and strength in the tackle are what make him stand out. We’re pleased that he’s decided to join Eintracht and we’d like to further develop his huge potential.”

Willian Pacho said, “I like the Bundesliga, it’s always been a dream of mine to play here one day. I was interested as soon as I heard from the club. That was one of the reasons why I really wanted to join Eintracht. I’m very happy with my decision.”
