World champions Germany name their final squad for 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia!

Germany’s 2014 FIFA World Cup winning coach Joachim Löw has announced his 23 players final squad ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

In the end, Joachim Löw decided to axe goalkeeper Bernd Leno, defender Jonathan Tah, winger Leroy Sané and striker Nils Pedersen from his final squad.

Especially the omission of Leroy Sane came as a surprise as he had an exceptional season at Premier League champions Manchester City and was named the EPL’s Young Player of the Year, but he hasn’t been able to reproduce those performances for Germany at international level.

Germany are playing against Mexico on June 17, Sweden on June 23 and South Korea on June 27 in the group stage.
