East Bengal The Real Power successfully hosts EBRP Fest 2018!

Fan group, East Bengal The Real Power, is one of the most active fan groups amongst those following Indian club football teams on Sunday, June 10 held their annual EBRP Fest 2018/19 once again at the NKDA Stadium in New Town, Kolkata across the day.

Despite warnings of bad weather, the NKDA Stadium saw decent weather and the EBRP Fest faithfuls enjoyed a long day of a lot of action.

It all started with Last year’s winning captain Avijit Polley (Pancha Pandavas) handing over the trophy to EBRP Fest management before all the eight participating teams lined up for the national anthem.

Besides the fan group tournament, a match for the blind was organised and a sum of Rs 25,000 donated, Rs 10,000 as donation to th Football Association for the Blind Of Bengal and football kits for Rs 15,000 were distributed. After the game, East Bengal keeper C.K. Ubaid handed over the silverwares.

Further 10 under privileged kids from the Balibhara Tarun Krira Chakra academy was presented with football kits.

The final match of the tournament saw team Derby Dynamites edging past team Burning Torch by a solitary goal from Soumyajit Banerjee.

24 Ghanta’s Amritanshu Bhattacharya graced the occasion as he handed over the silverware and medals to the players, while former goalkeeper and coach Abhijit Mondal also came by.
