Mohammedan Sporting sign Ivory Coast forward Leonce Dodoz as their second foreigner!

Mohammedan Sporting - Leonce DodozMohammedan Sporting Club have completed the signing of Ivorian forward Leonce Dodoz. Having retained his fellow countryman Lancine Toure earlier, Dodoz is the second foreign signing made by the Black Panthers ahead of the 2016/17 Calcutta Football League.

Born in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), the 27-year-old started his career at Ivorian top tier club JC Abidjan, before moving to Nepal in 2012 with Friends Club. Dodoz joined Three Star Club the next season and won the Nepal Football League in his debut season with the club. In 2014 Dodoz switched allegiance to another Nepalese outfit Manang Marshyangdi Club. Dodoz also has the experience of playing in the Vietnamese V-League.

More recently, Dodoz has played for Gangtok Himalayan SC in the recently concluded Second Division League.

Playing for Gangtok Himalayan SC, Dodoz showed excellent form and finished as the team’s top scorer in the final round of the Second Division League, which included three goals against Mohammedan Sporting over the two legs.

Dodoz will don jersey number 9 at the club.

Meanwhile, midfielder Manjit Singh, who joined Mohammedan Sporting from Minerva Academy FC, and Dipendu Dowary have started practice from today at Mohammedan Sporting Club ground.
