Lukas Podolski said, “We had a comfortable and open discussion, for which I would like to heartily thank the FC board. I’m looking forward to planning how I can support FC in the future together with them. Köln is, was and remains my home and FC is my club.”
Dr. Werner Wolf said, “Lukas is an idol for an entire generation of FC fans and will always be welcomed at FC. We want to make use of his love for FC and his appeal across the world, and be with Lukas as he makes the meaningful and very personal steps after his playing career. Therefore, we will now be in a continuous dialogue, which we’re very happy about.””
