15 Asian match officials named for Tokyo 2020!

15 match officials from Asia have been selected to officiate the Men’s and Women’s 2020 Tokyo Olympics football tournaments.

Referees Chris Beath and Kate Jacewicz, along with assistant referees Ashley Beecham and Shchetinin Anton, have been named from Australia.

Jordan’s Adham Makhadmeh will be joined by compatriots Mohammad Alkalaf and Ahmad Alroalle, while Yoshimi Yamashita, Teshirogi Naomi and Bozono Makoto will complete the line-up from Japan.

Qatar’s Abdulla Al-marri, Muhammad bin Jahari of Singapore and China PR’s Fu Ming have been appointed as video match officials, while Hiroyuki Kimura of Japan has been selected as a support referee.

A total of 25 referees and 50 assistant referees have been selected for the tournament and together with them, FIFA has also selected 20 video assistant referees and four support referees.

The women’s tournament opens on July 21 while the men’s competition kicks off a day later.
