2016 AFC Cup Quarterfinals: Bengaluru FC to face Tampines Rovers!

2016 AFC Cup quarterfinalLone Indian side left, Bengaluru FC in the quarterfinals of the 2016 AFC Cup will have to face Tampines Rovers FC of Singapore, who in the pre-quarterfinals had won in extra-time against Mohun Bagan AC.

Meanwhile reigning champions Johor Darul Ta’zim will face Hong Kong’s South China in the AFC Cup quarter-finals following the official draw for the Knockout Stage in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The Southern Tigers were unstoppable in the Group Stage as they raced to first place in Group H, winning all six of their matches and racking up 21 goals while conceding just three.

Teams through to the last eight of the AFC Cup: Air Force Club (Iraq), Al Ahed (Lebanon), Al Jaish (Syria), Al Muharraq (Bahrain), Johor Darul Ta’zim (Malaysia), JSW Bengaluru (India), South China (Hong Kong) Tampines Rovers (Singapore).

Quarter-final 1 West: Air Force Club v Al Jaish
Quarter-final 2 West: Al Ahed v Al Muharraq
Quarter-final 3 East: South China v Johor Darul Ta’zim
Quarter-final 4 East: Bengaluru FC v Tampines Rovers

The clubs drawn first for Quarter-final 1 through to Quarter-final 4 will host the first leg of the quarter-finals while the clubs drawn second will host the second leg.
The winners of Quarter-final 1 and Quarter-final 3 will host the first leg of the semi-finals while the winners of Quarter-final 2 and Quarter-final 4 will host the second leg.
The AFC Cup final will be held over a single match and the host was determined by a draw between the Semi-final 1 and Semi-final 2 winners.
