The draw for the semifinals of the German Cup (DFB Pokal) 2016/17 was held after the quarterfinal match of the 2016/17 Bundesliga season between FC Bayern Munich and FC Schalke 04 at the Allianz Arena.
Defending champions Bayern Munich would either face third division side Sportfreunde Lotte or last season finalists and old rivals Borussia Dortmund, whoever wins the postponed tie from Tuesday night due to the bad pitch in Lotte.
In the other semifinal, Borussia Mönchengladbach would host Eintracht Frankfurt at their Borussia Park for a place in the DFB Pokal final.
The matches would be played on April 25/26, 2017.
