2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup – India: MatchDay 5 – Round-up!

The 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India continued today, October 10 with Group C and Group D matches taking place in Goa and Kochi.

A dominant Guinea held Costa Rica to a 2-2 draw in a Group C encounter at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, while Germany suffered a shocking 0-4 defeat to Iran in the second game of the group. Iran have secured their spot in the Round of 16 with their second win of the competition.

Meanwhile, Spain came to life against Niger in a 4-0 victory at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, while Brazil go through to the knockout stages with their 2-0 win against North Korea.

The tournament will continue tomorrow with two Group E matches in Guwahati (France vs Japan, Honduras vs new Caledonia) and two Group D matches in Kochi (England vs Mexico, Iraq vs Chile).
