2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup – France match schedule revealed!

As the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France approaches, FIFA and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) are pleased to announce the official match schedule.

France’s Brittany region will host the competition, with Vannes’ Stade de la Rabine staging the opening match at 16:30h (CET) on Sunday, August 5, as well as the final, at 19:30h (CET) on Friday, August 24. The tournament will be held at four stadiums in total with Concarneau, Dinan-Lehon and Saint-Malo also staging matches.

Asian teams Japan, North Korea and China are the latest sides to have qualified for the competition, alongside hosts France, following the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship in October 2017.

New Zealand claimed the first available spot in the competition courtesy of their victory in the Oceania qualifying competition in July. Spain, Germany, England and the Netherlands joined them after successfully negotiating the European qualifiers in August.

The teams representing the CONCACAF, CONMEBOL and CAF regions will be revealed in late January.

The Final Draw for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France will be held at the Rennes Opera House on a symbolic day, March 8 – International Women’s Day.
