The 2018 FIFA World Cup continued on Wednesday, June 20 afternoon with Portugal beating Morocco 1-0 due to an early Cristiano Ronaldo goal at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
After an opening chance for Morocco, Portugal went ahead in the 4th minute through the fourth goal of the competition of Cristiano Ronaldo. But thereafter except a chance here or there, it was Morocco, who controlled proceedings but goalscoring isn’t one of their strengths as they missed tons of chances to equalise or even win the game.
In the end Portugal won 1-0, which meant that Morocco are out of the competition while Portugal have good chances to move into the knockout stage.
