2018 FIFA World Cup – Group G: Tunisia score comeback Panama win!

The 2018 FIFA World Cup continued on Thursday, June 28 evening with Tunisia scoring a 2-1 comeback win over Panama at the Mordovia Arena in Saransk.

Tunisia had more of the ball, but they conceded an unlucky own goal to Panama through Yaccine Meriah off a Jose Luis Rodriguez shot and went into the break behind.

Tunisia in the second session continued to pressure Panama and they got their deserving equaliser in the 51st minute through Fakhreddine Ben Youssef off Khazri.

The pressure continued on the Central Americans and Tunisia went ahead in the 6tth minute with Wahbi Khazri scoring. But nearly at the other end Panama got the equaliser in the 73rd minute off Barcenas, but a Tejada foul on a Tunisian defender was given.

It ended 2-1 for Tunisia, their first FIFA World Cup win in 40 years, while Panama ended their first-ever FIFA World Cup as bottom of their group.
