The draw for the Pre-Quarterfinals of the DFB German Cup (DFB Pokal) 2021/22 was held tonight with the draw carried out by former Germany international Benedikt Höwedes and Peter Zimmermann, CEO of SG Ahrtal, who were badly affected by the floods in July 2021.
The Berlin derby between Hertha BSC and 1. FC Union Berlin is one of the highlights of the draw for the DFB-Pokal round of 16, while reigning champions Borussia Dortmund will travel to current 2. Bundesliga leaders FC St. Pauli.
The matches would be played on January 18/19 across the country with the smaller clubs looking to welcome their more established opponents.
