2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup semifinal matchups and schedule confirmed!

Following the conclusion of the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup Quarterfinals, CONCACAF has confirmed the matchups and updated schedule for the competition’s Semifinals, to be played at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, CA, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Wednesday’s doubleheader semifinals will see Brazil face off against Mexico at 7:00 pm ET (4:00 pm PT/local), followed by Canada vs United States at 10:15 pm ET (7:15 pm PT/local).

The Quarterfinals of the region’s new flagship competition for women’s national teams took place on March 2 and 3 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, CA. On Saturday, an extra-time goal by FW Evelyne Viens secured Canada’s victory over Costa Rica and a spot in the semifinals for the Canadians. In the day’s second match, between two South American rivals, Brazil defeated Argentina 5-1.

On Sunday, Mexico and the United States joined Canada and Brazil as the four teams qualified for the Semifinals. Jacqueline Ovalle led Mexico to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Paraguay and three goals in the first half earned the United States a 3-0 triumph over Colombia.

The Group Stage took place across three venues – Dignity Health Sports Park (Group A), Snapdragon Stadium (Group B), and Shell Energy Stadium (Group C), from February 20 to 28. After round-robin play, the group winners (Mexico, Brazil, Canada), runners-up (USA, Colombia, Paraguay), and the two best third-place finishers (Argentina, Costa Rica) advanced to the Quarterfinals. The Quarterfinal matchups were determined based on the Group Stage standings, with the team that accumulated the most points facing the team that accumulated the least.

The 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup Final, where the region’s first-ever W Gold Cup Champion will be crowned, will be played in San Diego on Sunday, March 10.
