The 20th iteration of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s landmark Knowledge Sharing Programme began on Monday.
The latest edition of the programme will feature one participant representing the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) from July 6 to 24, during which period, he will receive hands-on training from industry experts.
Over the next few weeks, the candidate will be assigned to the Confederation’s Member Association (MA) Division, where he will have the opportunity to observe the day-to-day operations of the AFC.
Underlining the AFC’s ambitions to provide focused and dedicated services to maximise the potential of its MAs and Regional Associations (RAs), the capacity-building initiative will enable the participant to hone his existing skills and enhance his understanding of best practices in football administration at the Continental level.
It is expected that the candidate, upon completing the educational journey, will share his learnings with his organisation and recommend the implementation of necessary policies, thereby contributing to the overall elevation of governing standards across the AFC’s MAs and RAs.
Built on the legacy of the AFC Internship Programme, the AFC Knowledge Sharing Programme continues to cultivate a dynamic ecosystem of learning and knowledge exchange, equipping its members with the expertise and insights required to drive sustainable progress across Asian football.
The programme, aimed at fostering a culture of continuous enhancement in football administration across the Continent, is yet another example of the AFC’s resolve to be a leading Confederation and make football the number one sport in Asia.
The AFC Knowledge Sharing Programme is open to all employees of the AFC’s MAs and RAs. Moreover, the AFC Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE) Valedictorians will also have the opportunity to be part of the programme.
