Promoted Pathachakra have signed a number of seasoned footballers ahead of their debut in the top tier of the Calcutta Football League’s Premier Division ‘A’.
Pathachakra is the sister club of former I-League side United SC having made its way from the lowest Calcutta Football League division to the top division and some old faces from United SC in experienced Lalkamal Bhowmick and Snehasish Chakraborty signed for the purple side.
Amongst the other 30 players who signed on the dotted line for the club at the IFA office today were former highly talented striker Budhiram Tudu, besides Farid Gazi and Santu Singh.
Meanwhile young Provat Lakra also signed for the club after he had tried to force a move to Mohun Bagan even training with the Mariners in pre-season but having a valid contract with Pathachakra he had to return.
