As XtraTime reports from Kolkata, since arriving in the city Costa Rican defender Johnny Acosta has not been the player he was at the summers 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Before Acosta arrived and started for East Bengal, they conceded one goal in seven matches, while they conceded two goals a match in their last three encounters, drawing one and loosing two, their worst CFL run in over a decade. But at the other end, Acosta was scored two goals.
Now in training technical director Subhas Bhowmick dropped Acosta from the playing eleven and will have to wait and see if he starts in the next CFL match.
