Record champions East Bengal Club scored a 1-0 win in the Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’ over Food Corporation of India (FCI – EZ) at the East Bengal ground on Tuesday afternoon.
The day’s winner came off striker Jobby Justin’s head off a Mahmoud Al Amna pass as the red and gold won a game in which they didn’t play well.
With this win, East Bengal ended their campaign after 11 matches on 23 points and are currently in second place with Peerless SC a point behind with a game to play.
