Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of defender Rakesh Pradhan from Shillong Lajong FC.
22 year old Dima Hasao-born Rakesh Pradhan started playing football in his native Assam before making it to the Shillong Lajong FC Academy.
Rakesh has been a regular for Shillong Lajong FC in the I-League and Super Cup over the last couple of seasons and now after their relegation moves to NorthEast United FC.
On signing for NorthEast United FC, Rakesh Pradhan said, “It is a privilege to be a part of the club that represents thet Northeast in the ISL. I am looking forward to joining up with my teammates soon and can’t wait to work with coach Robert Jarni, from whom I am hoping to learn a lot.”
