2020 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifiers Update!

All Member Associations participating in the 2020 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying are following strict health and safety protocols, including COVID-19 testing prior to and during the competition.

Ahead of today’s Group B matches, the delegations of Canada, El Salvador, Honduras and Haiti have conducted COVID-19 testing and there are no new positive cases for the team delegations.

In the case of the match officials, in the latest round of testing of the entire group of referees for this competition, two individuals have tested positive for COVID-19. They are isolating and complying with CONCACAF protocols and all laws and regulations imposed by local authorities. In order to reallocate resources and allow for additional testing to take place, CONCACAF has made the precautionary decision to make further changes to tonight’s appointed match officials. The details of the new appointments can be found here.

CONCACAF is working to ensure the required support is available to the two individuals who tested positive.

CONCACAF’s next COVID-19 update will be provided ahead of the semifinal matches on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
