Horst Hrubesch replaces Daniel Thioune as Hamburger SV head coach for remaining Bundesliga 2 games!

German giants Hamburger SV on Monday morning announced that they have relieved their head coach Daniel Thioune of his duties, while naming club legend and club academy head Horst Hrubesch as his replacement for the remainder of the Bundesliga 2 season.

With this move, Hamburger SV are trying to safe their chances of gaining promotion back to the Bundesliga.

Hamburger SV’s Head of sport Jonas Boldt and sporting director Michael Mutzel relieved Daniel Thioune of his duties with immediate effect. Horst Hrubesch, who is head of the HSV academy, will take charge of the team for the rest of the season.

The team was informed of the decision on Monday morning. Hrubesch will take his first session with the team on Monday afternoon.
