High quality and Italian design will be the main ingredients in the teamwear, and equipment worn by Hele Nordjyllands Hold (All of Northern Jutland’s Team) for the coming six years.

When Aalborg BK opens the 2021/22 season, players from the Danish Superliga-squad and the Aalborg BK Academy will be wearing teamwear from Italian technical sportswear manufacturer Macron, who for the first time ever will supply a Danish top tier club.

Macron is based in the Italian city of Bologna, and besides the Serie A team Bologna FC in the home city, Macron also supplies teams such as Lazio, Portuguese champions Sporting Clube, French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice and the tradition rich English Championship side Nottingham Forest. Measured by the number of club and national team partnerships, Macron is the third largest provider of technical sportswear in Europe.

“Our recent agreement with Aalborg BK is very important to us,” said Gianluca Pavanello, Macron CEO “Not only are we partnering with a top club in the Danish Superliga, but also a club rich in history and tradition. We are certain that the partnership with Aalborg BK will represent an important step in our strategy of developing of our teamwear in Denmark and specifically in northern Jutland. We are entering the Danish market with high quality products, examples of Italian design, studied and created for Aalborg BK in collaboration with the club staff in order to offer the team and their fans something truly unique and personalized. The history of Aalborg has proven to be the ideal starting point for the development of a collection that will highlight the identity and values of the team on the field, as well as the passion of their red & white fans.”

“We had significant interest in becoming the new teamwear supplier, and after a thorough and months long process, it was clear to us that Macron is the partner that best can fulfill the demands we have on behalf of our many fans. Macron provides high quality, beautiful design and offers a range of possibilities to create unique merchandise,” Aalborg BK CEO Thomas Bælum stated and added, “Commercially this also marks the biggest deal of its kind in our club history, which we are very proud of. Not only are we happy on behalf of our club, but also on behalf of all of our partner clubs, who can look forward to the possibility of wearing Macron teamwear, as a new Macron store will be opening soon with the aim of servicing our partner clubs. Finally, we are thrilled that Macron is a company with a focus on social involvement and sustainability. For us, this means that our popular charity jersey will continue to be sold for the benefit of local charities, with support from Macron, as well as the fact that all of our match jerseys will be produced from recycled plastic.”
