The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) with profound grief and shock, the Office Bearers and its Members in deep sorrow and condolence on the sad and untimely demise of former player Asit Patra who breathed his last yesterday evening at Bhubaneswar after prolonged illness. He was a resident of Baripada, Mayurbhanj District. He was 64 years old.
He had the honour of representing Odisha State in the Santosh Trophy in the late 1970s and has played for various famous clubs of Odisha state, Rising Star Club and Odisha Police are some of them.
He was a retired employee of Accountant General.
