Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have signed a central defender on the last day of the summer transfer window. Martin Pongragic, 23, is joining BVB from league competitors VfL Wolfsburg on a loan deal for the 2021/22 season.
The Croatian international, born in Landshut, moved to Lower Saxony from Red Bulls Salzburg in January 2020 and has since made 21 Bundesliga appearances (two goals).
“Marin is a young central defender with pace who will complete our defence,” said BVB sporting director Michael Zorc.
Pongracic will start training this afternoon.
