Struggling Bundesliga side Hertha BSC have appointed seasoned Felix Magath as their head coach until the end of the 2021/22 season.
“Felix Magath’s resume speaks for himself. We have been able to find a coach who has proven many times that he has the experience needed in order to make the necessary changes to help us out of the challenging situation we find ourselves in,” said Fredi Bobic. “I had very open and honest discussions with Fredi Bobic,” said Magath. “We are all aware of the current situation, and I’m ready to help Hertha BSC achieve their goal of staying up. What’s important right now is that everyone is fully focused on the remaining eight games.”
Felix Magath’s task isn’t easy as Hertha BSC have dropped into 17th place of the Bundesliga standings, which would mean direct relegation to Bundesliga 2 with only eight matches remaining until the end of the season.
