The All India Football Federation today reopened the tendering process to welcome fresh franchise teams into the 2016/17 I-League.
As decided in the meeting held in the AIFF Football House on Wednesday, November 23, the Bid Evaluation Committee opines to open the tendering process once again today, November 25 and the process will be open until December 8, 2016.
“The interesting parties can submit their bid on or before December 8, 2016, and the Bid Evaluation Committee will meet once again on December 11, 2016, to take a final call on the submitted bids”, I-League CEO Sunando Dhar informed.
It will be interesting to see if any other entities besides the three original bidders in Minerva Academy FC (Chandigarh), FC Bardez (Goa) and Chennai City FC (Tamil Nadu) now apply with the AIFF for a corporate spot in the upcoming I-League.
