As XtraTime reports, the Indian Football Association (West Bengal) held a meeting with the Calcutta Football League – Premier Division A clubs with the Big Three – ATK Mohun Bagan, East Bengal Club, Mohammedan Sporting Club – absent.
It was decided to further postpone the kick-off of the CFL – Premier Division A, while the format has also been changed. The 11 teams minus the big three would play a round robin league and the top 3 would join the Big Three in a Super 6 format. This has been done keeping in mind the pressure of playing multiple tournaments of the Big Three.
