AC Reggiana & Macron renew their partnership & unveil the 2023/24 season kits!

AC Reggiana are preparing for the upcoming Italian Serie B season, regained this year thanks to a championship as undisputed protagonists, and will face new challenges continuing to wear the Macron Hero. The Reggio Emilia club has renewed its partnership with Macron for three seasons, extending until 2026 the collaboration that began with the 2018/19 season. In the 5 years together, Reggiana has achieved two important promotions (from Serie D to Serie C in 2019 and from Serie C to Serie B at the end of last season) and now prepares for the long-awaited return to the second tier of Italian football wearing the new 2023/24 match kits.

Tradition, history, innovative graphics, sustainability, and respect for the environment, these are the ingredients that characterise the new jerseys. Elegance and tradition for the ‘Home’ shirt, modern style and history unite in the ‘Away’ jersey, graphics and design with a strong impact for the ‘Third’. All kits are made from an Eco Fabric, a fabric made from 100% recycled plastic. This choice also fits in with the Granata club’s philosophy of attention to social and environmental issues undertaken in recent years.

The ‘Home’ jersey is in the traditional ‘granata’ colour with a V-neck and Italian flag details on the sleeve edge. The backneck is personalised with two gold A.C. Reggiana badges on the sides of the label with the Italian ‘Tricolore’, with the Macron logo inside, and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’ certifying that each garment is conceived, designed, and developed in the Headquarters of the technical sponsor. The ‘Tricolore’, to which the city of Reggio Emilia is closely linked, also appears on the back neck together with the writing AC REGGIANA 1919 under which is printed ‘35°’ indicating the thirty-fifth participation in the Serie B championship since its debut in 1929/30. On the chest, in gold, the Macron Hero and the badge of the Reggio Emilia club. The kit is completed by navy blue shorts and socks with horizontal granata and navy blue bands already used in the 1930s. The kit is embellished by the label on the bottom indicating the progressive numbering of each shirt.

The new ‘Away’ top is white with a mandarin collar with a three-button closure and a granata sleeve edging, the same chromatic choice adopted for the vertical band along the sides. The graphics are striking with two wide diagonal bands, irregular and broken, one green and one red that together with the white of the jersey form the tricolour, a tribute and reference to the history of the city. Reggio Emilia is, in fact, the city of the ‘Tricolore’, as here on the 7th of January 1797, the Italian flag was born. The backneck and the writing on the back neck are identical to those of the Home version. The Macron Hero on the chest is in the granata colour, next to the AC Reggiana coat of arms. The shorts are white, as are the socks, which have a garnet upper border. The label indicating the progressive numbering is also present on the bottom of the jersey.

The fusion of fluorescent pink and purple that give life to a modern graphic design, formed by irregular figures and geometries present throughout the front body and on the back of the jersey, characterise the ‘Third’ version that the Emilian club will use in the next competitive season. The shirt has a crew-neck and the backneck is also customised with two coats of arms, in white, of AC Reggiana on the sides of the label with a tricolour border with the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’ on the inside. On the chest, the Macron Hero and the club crest. On the back neck, the tricolour and always in white the writing AC REGGIANA 1919 and ‘35°’. The Third match kit is completed by purple shorts and pink socks.
