AEG Europe, ECB, World Rugby & AELTC to speak at 2018 Hospitality Masterclass!

iSportconnect, the world’s largest global private network of sport business executives, has announced that AEG Europe, ECB, World Rugby and AELTC are to speak at the 2018 Hospitality Masterclass.

In partnership with Siemens and Sodexo, the 2018 Hospitality Masterclass will take place on November 20 at The Crystal in London.

The high-profile executives due to speak at the event include:

– Paul Samuels, Executive VP of Global Partnerships, AEG Europe
– Paul Smith, Director of City & Spectator Experience: ICC Global Events, ECB
– Alan Gilpin, COO & Head of Rugby World Cup, World Rugby
– Anthony Davies, Head of Food & Beverage, AELTC

Paul Samuels joined AEG Europe in November 2007. In his current role as Executive Vice President for Global Partnerships, he is responsible for overseeing all sponsorship sales, partnership activation & premium seating across all AEG assets internationally, outside of the US. Paul’s team is 100-strong, spread across Europe, China, South America and Australia. Prior to AEG, Paul worked for various companies including O2, where he negotiated the naming rights for the venue as Head of Sponsorship.

Paul Smith has more than 20 years’ experience in the sports industry, working across a range of major events including the Athens, Beijing and London Olympic Games, the 2015 Rugby World Cup and 2017 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. Paul is currently Director of City & Spectator Experience for the organising committee of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, working to deliver a range of exciting spectator, sponsor and host city activations for the tournament in England & Wales next summer.

Alan Gilpin is the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Rugby World Cup at World Rugby, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the globally-renowned Rugby World Cup brand, including the preparations and delivery for Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan and planning for Rugby World Cup 2023 in France. Previously a lawyer, and with a strong track record in sport and business, Alan has been involved in the management and delivery of Rugby World Cup since 2001 in a number of roles. Alan joined World Rugby from his previous role as Chief Operating Officer of official hospitality provider, Prestige Ticketing Ltd, where he oversaw the award-winning hospitality programme for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Anthony Davies joined The All England Lawn Tennis Club senior management team as Head of Food & Beverage in February 2015, with the responsibility for overseeing the strategic development of the guest’s experiences of eating and drinking at The Championships. With over 20 years’ experience in the food, beverage and hospitality industries, Anthony has a wealth of knowledge in both the B2B and B2C markets, having held senior roles within the hotel, casual dining and contract catering sectors.
