The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has extended his condolences on the passing of the Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah who passed away on Saturday.
Shaikh Salman expressed his great sadness, remembering the monumental efforts and contributions undertaken by Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah in transforming the economic and social development of the Kuwait and for his steadfast dedication towards philanthropic causes and empowering communities across Kuwait.
The AFC President also honoured the role of HH Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah in elevating the standards of Kuwait football.
Shaikh Salman expressed his deepest condolences to the Al Sabah family as well as the Kuwait Government, and the AFC stands together with the people of the Kuwait during this difficult time.
