CAF conducted the official draw of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup at its headquarters in Cairo on Thursday with the first round pitting the Central African Republic against Mauritius in September.
The winning team of this clash will play against Nigeria in the second round.
An exciting clash is on the cards between Morocco and Burkina Faso, while Uganda versus Cameroon as well as Burundi against Botswana are also expected to dish up some exciting youth women’s football in the next few months.
In the second round, matches are expected to take place between February 2–4, with the return fixtures set for February 9-11, 2024.
Looking at the third round of qualifiers, the winner between Zambia and Tanzania will face off against whoever emerges at the top between Cameroon and Uganda while that of Niger and Morocco takes on the winners of the clash between Algeria and Benin.
The third round of qualifiers will be played between May 10-12, 2024 with the return legs being pencilled for May 17–19, 2024.
The final round officially takes place between June 7–9 for the first legs before the official decider of the three nations that will represent Africa takes place between June 14–16.
