Following various media enquiries over the last few days, UEFA can confirm that a meeting of the Executive Committee will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 31 March, and that the future of club competitions post-2024 will be one of the topics discussed.
However, any official decision in this respect will only be made at the next UEFA Executive Committee meeting on 19 April, in order to finalise ongoing discussions.
The topics up for decision at tomorrow’s Executive Committee are:
– a proposal to allow five substitutions for UEFA EURO 2020 and the UEFA Nations League Finals 2021;
– the revision of the decision of October 1, 2020 concerning the admission of spectators to UEFA matches;
– the system of selection of the teams that will participate in the 2022 FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup.
