The AIFF Elite Academy U-16 won 5-1 against Rosary Higher Secondary, Goa played on an artificial turf on June 30. The teams went into the break with AIFF ahead by 3-1 before a couple of more goals reflected as the final score line.
AIFF began on a positive note with two goals within the first 12 minutes itself before Rosary pulled one back. But AIFF hit back immediately to make it 3-1. A similar pattern of early goals was followed in the 2nd half with the boys striking twice in the space of 10 minutes.
Shanon’s double was the highlight of the day with Ridge, Sailo and Hasan being the other scorers.
