AIFF Technical Committee interviews India coach shortlist, Igor Stimac favourite!

The All India Football Federation’s Technical Committee meeting was Chaired by Shyam Thapa, AIFF Technical Committee chairman at the AIFF Headquarters, Football House in Dwarka, New Delhi on Thursday, May 9.

New AIFF technical director Isac Doru, AIFF Technical Committee vice-chairman Henry Menezes, Prasanta Banerjee, Pradip Datta, G.P. Palguna, and Sundar Raman also attended the meeting. Ishfaq Ahmed was granted leave of absence.

Besides, AIFF general secretary Kushal Das, and National Team Director Abhishek Yadav were present as ex-officio members.

The Committee conducted detailed interviews with all the four shortlisted candidates for the post of the Indian Senior Men’s Team National Coach – Hakan Ericson o Sweden, Albert Roca of Spain, Igor Stimac of Croatia, and Min Sung Lee of South Korea – and as per the AIFF Constitution, has sent its recommendations to the AIFF Executive Committee for a final decision.

As per the infos out of AIFF Football House, the AIFF Technical Committee has recommended Igor Stimac as their top candidate with Alberto Roca their second choice.
