Former I-League champions Aizawl FC have announced the appointment of Caetano Pinho as their new head coach for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.
46 year old Caetano Infancio De Souza Pinho, who was born in Margao, played in his career for Salgaocar FC and Vasco SC in his home state of Goa before joining ONGC, for whom he not only played but also worked and after retirement also coached.
Last season, Caetano Pinho coached Corbett FC in the I-League Qualifiers and now he joins the People’s Club, who will hope that Pinho can deliver results for the club avoiding relegation and potentially moving up the 2022/23 I-League table.
