The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) can confirm that American Samoa has withdrawn from the OFC Men’s Olympic Qualifier 2023.
The tournament will take place from August 27 to September 9, to be hosted in Auckland across three venues; The Trusts Arena, Go Media Stadium Mt Smart and North Harbour Stadium.
American Samoa had originally been drawn in Group A, alongside New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Fiji. This group will now be a group of three teams, with a revised match schedule which can be viewed below.
Following this decision, American Samoa has been referred to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee.
