AS Monaco extends Vanderson until 2028!

AS Monaco have announced the extension of Vanderson’s contract for a further season. The 22-year-old Brazilian full-back is now tied to the Club until June 2028.

Vanderson arrived at AS Monaco in January 2022 from Brazilian club Gremio, his formative club with whom he made 59 appearances, and will continue his adventure at AS Monaco. He has already pulled on the diagonal shirt 76 times, scoring 5 goals and providing 9 assists.

Capable of playing all over the right flank, Vanderson has already made 13 appearances this season under Adi Hütter, mainly in a wing-back role. The Brazilian also proved decisive in the first match of the season against Clermont Foot 63 by scoring a goal and providing an assist in the 4-2 victory, then scoring again in the 2-1 win against Stade Rennais, last December.

The performances of the young player born in 2001 have not escaped the attention of the Brazilian national team coach. Last season, he was called up to the senior national side for the first time, making his debut in the 4-1 victory against Guinea, on June 17, 2023.

In August, the native of the Mato Grosso region was once again called up for two matches with the Auriverdes, this time in the company of Caio Henrique, contributing to Brazil’s 1-0 win over Peru on September 13.
