AS Roma and New Balance are proud to present the new Legacy Collection, a line of clothing which pays tribute to the club’s roots. The design is inspired by the iconic shirt of Società Sportiva Alba, one of the clubs which merged to form Associazione Sportiva Roma in 1927.
The Legacy Kit is green with a white horizontal strip across the chest and an ASR monogram pattern covering the entire jersey.
This contemporary design combined with details harking back to the club’s roots – like the logo used from 1933 – creates a unique jersey that will enhance any outfit born to be worn in the city, fully espousing the current trends of mixing fashion and football.
Like this season’s third kit, the replica version of the Legacy strip features a holographic badge which alternates between the circular crest and the crest with a she-wolf and ASR monogram.
The collection places the club’s heritage in a new perspective merging a performance look with modern elements.
The Legacy Collection includes two other pre-game items: a green jacket and a green shirt, both of which blend tradition with street style.
The creation of this clothing line is a further expression of AS Roma’s desire to preserve, recount and celebrate the club’s history and those who have contributed to it.
Società Sportiva Alba played a key role not only in the foundation of AS Roma but also during the club’s early years.
After merging with Audace Club Sportivo, it provided the Motovelodromo Appio pitch, where AS Roma played their first matches, as well as a good number of the players for the 1927-28 squad.
