ATK Mohun Bagan score late winner against Jamshedpur FC!

Jamshedpur FC suffered another hard-fought loss against ATK Mohun Bagan. As the Mariners clinched a narrow 1-0 win on their home turf. An injury-time goal by Hugo Boumous from the spot ensured full points for the Green and Maroons.

Jamshedpur FC head coach Aidy Boothroyd made some crucial changes in the startling lineup against ATK Mohun Bagan. New signing Rafael Crivellaro made his way in the midfield along with young custodian Vishal Yadav making his ISL debut.

Besides Germanpreet Singh made his return to the pitch after the prolonged injury but was forced to be subbed off only after 28 minutes in the game. Ishan Pandita was once again given a start in the offence as the solo target man.

Jamshedpur FC started the game well with Crivellaro acting as the perfect playmaker in the middle of the park. In spite of the quick counterattacks from the hosts, the men of steel maintained their shape across the pitch.

Ritwik Das got the first chance of the night from a Crivellaro through ball inside the box in the 15th minute. A heavy touch made it off the target.

Just before the half-an-hour mark Aidy Boothroyd was forced to make the first substitution of the night. As he brought in Jitendra Singh to replace Germanpreet Singh.

Going into the lemon break the deadlock remained unbroken as neither side could find the back of the net.

Coming back in the second half the men of steel kept on looking for chances to break the deadlock. Around the hour mark, Aidy Boothroyd made his second substitution of the night as Daniel Chima replaced Rafael Crivellaro.

The Mariners kept their counter-attacking displays on and created few close chances. But Vishal Yadav was alert enough to defy all goal-bound odds.

But all the good efforts from the men of the steel went in vain in the dying minutes of the game. Skipper Peter Hartley was sent off for a rough challenge inside the box and the home side were awarded a penalty for the same.

Hugo Boumous did no mistake from the spot as he broke the deadlock defying the custodian. Just minutes after Ishan Pandita went close to scoring from a head but the opposition custodian made sure to save it.

Jamshedpur FC next plays Bengaluru FC away from home on December 17 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
