Former Indian Super League champions ATK Mohun Bagan have announced the signing of Guinean defender Florentin Pogba, who happens to be the brother of French international midfielder Paul Pogba.
31 year old Conakry-born Peïlé Florentin Pogba in his youth played for several clubs in Île-de-France before moving to Spanish side Celta Vigo before returning to France to play for CS Sedan, where he also made his senior debut.
Florentin Pogba made a big move to AS Saint-Étienne with a loan spell at CS Sedan in-between spending six seasons with them. Thereafter he played for Turkish side Gençlerbirliği and MLS side Atlanta United before returning to France to play for FC Sochaux over the last two seasons.
Now Florentin Pogba moves to India to join the Mariners.
ATK Mohun Bagan head coach Juan Ferrando said, “Florentin is a player with great amibition, someone who wants to grow out of the comfort zone. He has ability to see offensive play from defensive positions and will strengthen the team.”
