Former Indian Super League champions ATK of Kolkata have announced the signing of former Morocco U-23 international midfielder Noussair El Maimouni for the 2018/19 season.
27 year old Tétouan-born Noussair El Maimouni started his football with local side Moghreb Tétouan, where he also made his professional debut in 2010. He stayed at the club for seven seasons and then left for league rivals Ittihad Tanger in 2017, but he couldn’t settle down and returned to Moghreb Tétouan for the second half of the season in early-2018.
Now Noussair El Maimouni ventures out of his native Morocco for the first-time to come to play in India after he had been linked in the past with clubs in Europe.
Noussair El Maimouni becomes the fourth foreigner to be signed by ATK for the new season. The Kolkata side have already signed English centre-back John Johnson from Bengaluru FC, Spanish playmaker Manuel Lanzarote from FC Goa and Nigerian striker Kalu Uche from Delhi Dynamos.
