ATK sign India defender Anas Edathodika from Kerala Blasters!

Former Indian Super League champions ATK have announced the signing of India defender Anas Edathodika from rivals Kerala Blasters.

32 year old Kondotty-born Anas Edathodika made his professional debut at then Second Division League side Mumbai FC in 2007 for whom he would play for four seasons, three of them in the I-League.

In 2011, Anas Edathodika moved to Maharashtra rivals Pune FC and also stayed with them for four seasons. In the summer of 2015, Anas signed for Indian Super League side Delhi Dynamos and spend two campaigns with them, while in-between he played on loan with Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC.

In 2017, Anas Edathodika signed for new ISL franchise Jamshedpur FC and had a mixed campaign due to injury, while playing for his home state side Kerala Blasters in the last season.

“I am very pleased with the signing of Anas. He has established himself as a star defender and I believe he has a lot of potential. He will be an essential addition to the defence of the team,” ATK head coach Antonio Habas said of the signing in a statement.

Delighted to sign for ATK, the 32-year-old Anas Edathodika said: “I want to come and help the team, that’s always been my goal wherever I have played. I look forward to meeting the staff and players.”
