Bahamas named host for 2023 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship!

CONCACAF has announced that the Bahamas will host the 2023 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship. The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifying competition will take place May 8-14, 2023, in Nassau, Bahamas.

“We are very excited to return to the Bahamas for this competition, where the region’s best men’s Beach Soccer national teams will compete to qualify for the 2023 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. On behalf of CONCACAF, I would like to thank the Bahamas Football Association for their support and enthusiasm to host this important event,” said CONCACAF General Secretary Philippe Moggio.

The 2023 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship in the Bahamas will kick off with a 12-team Group Stage, followed by Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Third Place Match, and a Final, where the region’s new Beach Soccer Champion will be crowned. Furthermore, the two Finalists will qualify for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2023.

The 12 CONCACAF member associations that have confirmed their participation in the competition are, in alphabetical order: Bahamas, Belize, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the United States.

The official draw for the Group Stage of the 2023 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship will take place at the CONCACAF HQ in Miami, FL, on Friday, March 17, 2023. Fans and media will be able to follow the draw starting at 11:00 am ET via CONCACAF.com.

In the previous edition of the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship, played in Costa Rica, in 2021, El Salvador won its second CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship crown (first since 2009) with a 6-4 victory over the United States in the Final.
