Bayer Leverkusen extend keeper Lukas Hradecky contract until 2026!

Finland goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky will continue in goal for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the coming years. The Bundesliga club have extended the contract with the team captain from the summer of 2023 by three years to June 30, 2026.

Bayer 04 sporting managing director Simon Rolfes sees the agreement with Hradecky as a strategically important step for the future approach under the Bayer Cross. “Lukas Hradecky came to us at Leverkusen as a top keeper in the Bundesliga in 2018. As a key performer here he has developed into a player the Bayer 04 fans can absolutely identify with,” explained Rolfes. “Lukas is part of the spine of our key players and he takes on a lot of responsibility off the pitch as well. We are very happy to continue on our journey together.”

For the 32-year-old Hradecky, the contract extension under the Bayer Cross is “confirmation that I took the right step four years ago by coming here. I’ve been able to continue developing as a player here at Bayer 04. The appreciation of being able to be captain here has shaped me very much and it fills me with great pride.”
