Bayer Leverkusen sign Belgium teenager Noah Mbamba!

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed Belgium U-19 international Noah Mbamba. The 18-year-old defensive midfielder joins the Werkself from Club Brugge with immediate effect. Mbamba has penned a contract to June 30, 2028.

“Noah Mbamba is one of the big talents in his position as a number six in midfield. He has outstanding technique, is tall and quick,” said Bayer 04 sporting managing director Simon Rolfes on the acquisition from the Belgian club. “If he continues to develop at this level he will be able to play an important role in our Werkself in the future given his class.”

For the 6’2″ Mbamba, the move to Leverkusen is “a step into a top league that I’ve always watched from next door in Belgium. I like German club football and Bayer 04 are well known for giving young players the best opportunities to achieve the top level in football. I’m very much looking forward to next few years here on the Rhine.”
