German Bundesliga giants FC Bayern München AG and international premium airline Qatar Airways have agreed a new partnership. The airline will be an FC Bayern platinum partner from July 1, 2018 until 2023.
The carrier Qatar Airways Group also operates the airport in Doha, the Hamad International Airport, who in January 2016 had agreed a partnership with FC Bayern. This sponsorship agreement will now be transferred in its entirety to Qatar Airways which involves the sleeve sponsorship in the Bundesliga which according to the newspaper FAZ was worth an annual €10 million, which is set to now grow.
The current partnership with Lufthansa AG expires as agreed on June 30, 2018. “FC Bayern München would like to thank their partner Lufthansa and especially chairman Carsten Spohr for the good, professional and always trustful cooperation. We wish Lufthansa great success and all the best for the future,” declared FC Bayern München marketing director Andreas Jung.
