Bayern Munich ExCo appoints Marion Kiechle and Joachim Müller to advisory board!

In its first session of the new term of office, the re-elected executive committee of FC Bayern München eV appointed a new advisory board, in accordance with the club’s statutes. There are some changes. Prof. Dr. Marion Kiechle and Joachim Müller have been newly voted onto the board, while Prof. Dr. Herbert Henzler and Prof. Dr. Heinrich von Pierer depart after many years on the board.

The other members are Dr. Edmund Stoiber, Dorothee Bär, Georg Fahrenschon, Peter Kerspe, Lars Klingbeil, Hildegard Müller, Dieter Reiter, Josef Schmid, Alexandra Schörghuber and Jochen Tschunke.

Herbert Hainer said, “We are very pleased that our advisory board, as an important advisory body to FC Bayern, will continue to be made up of high-calibre figures from the worlds of business, politics and now also science.”

“I would especially like to thank Herbert Henzler and Heinrich von Pierer for their many years of more than valuable and also friendly support of FC Bayern in their functions as members of the advisory board. Thanks to the commitment of such personalities, our club is always in a first-class position and ready for titles, even off the pitch.”

Prof. Dr. Marion Kiechle is professor of gynaecology and obstetrics at the Technical University of Munich and director of the women’s clinic at the Klinikum rechts der Isar. She was also Bavarian State Minister for Science and the Arts in 2018. Joachim Müller is CEO of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), based in Munich.

Prof. Dr. Herbert Henzler had been a member of the advisory board since 1995 and a member of the supervisory board of FC Bayern München AG from 2003 to 2010. Prof. Dr. Heinrich von Pierer had been a member of the advisory board since 2010.
