Bayern Munich extended Sarpreet Singh’s contract, returns on loan to Jahn Regensburg!

FC Bayern Munich has extended Sarpreet Singh’s contract until summer 2024 and loaned him out to Bundesliga 2 club Jahn Regensburg for the coming season. The 23-year-old was already in action for the Upper Palatinate (Oberpfälzer) last season, when he also played 27 games on loan.

“After Sarpreet’s move to Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga didn’t work out and he had to step back a few weeks due to injury, we’re very pleased that he can return to a familiar environment. We are convinced that he will return to his old level of performance at Jahn,” said FC Bayern Campus manager Jochen Sauer.

Singh moved from Wellington Phoenix to the FC Bayern Campus in 2019 and was loaned to 1.FC Nürnberg after one season and the third division title with FC Bayern Munich Amateurs. In January 2021, the midfielder returned to Munich prematurely and was loaned out to Regensburg six months later. Before Singh stopped a groin injury, the New Zealand international had a strong 15 points (6 goals, 9 assists) for the second division side.
